Now, this is interesting, clip Rods. I seem to recall your unmerciful baiting of 3praise for missing a Haringey match earlier in the season because he was "under the thumb", as you put it. There then followed a load of nonsense from you about football being more important than life or death and your own family never getting in the way of your football. Can I take it from this that you find "the great one" to have carried out a heinous crime yesterday by putting family first?

It seems you have two options:
1) Apologise unreservedly to 3praise for the comments you have made regarding the importance of football in his life
or
2) Publicly and wholeheartedly condemn Clement Temile for his actions yesterday in a manner similar to the way you would readily condemn anybody else in the same situation.

I EXPECT one or the other from you. clip Rods.

Football Man - You have got the wrong end of the stick entirely and as usual I can read you like the new Harry Potter book as you pricked up your ears as soon as you heard 'the great one' wasn't at Gardeners Close yesterday, infact all your Christmas's came at once. For your information 'the great one' can do no wrong at Kentish Town and has a free reign to come and go as he pleases, naturally he briefed our Manager and his new UEFA 'A' qualified Assistant Coach beforehand and as it was only a friendly fixture we had no issues about him not being there although admitedly as it was all very last minute it did cause me some embarrassment with the Basildon United faithful who were like rabbits caught in the headlights when our convoy of cars pulled into their car park. As for your silly comparison between 'the great one' and 3praise that simply doesn't hold any water, it is obvious that the beautiful game plays second or third fiddle in his life and he much prefers to go to DFS, IKEA and Homebase on a Saturday afternoon than Coles Park.

It looks like it's you that has the wrong end of the stick once again. This is not about Kentish Town's views, it is about YOUR views. You have this "football before everything else" attitude and usually are quick to criticise anybody who puts family matters first. Therefore, I say again, it seems you have two options:
1) Apologise unreservedly to 3praise for the comments you have made regarding the importance of football in his life
or
2) Publicly and wholeheartedly condemn Clement Temile for his actions yesterday in a manner similar to the way you would readily condemn anybody else in the same situation.

Oh, and by the way, why is it okay for Clement Temile to miss the game at short notice as it's "only a friendly" but you consider the Haringey Chairman missing a friendly to be a disgraceful act?

Like I said all your Christmas's have come at once over this however I repeat that you are missing the point as what have my views got to do with anything. If you must know, although I'm sure you do already, I have a 'football before anything else' philosophy, Shankly style, whereas 3praise prefers to go to DFS or stay at home with his good lady watching Stella being pushed off a roof by Phil or Roy's Rolls going up in flames, I'm not knocking it as each to his own. You cannot compare 'the great one's' actions of yesterday to 'Sugar's' at Manford Way last week as 'Sugar' is Chairman of a Club and should be at every game come hell or high water yet only attends 60% of Haringey's games during a season, if that.

Whats so "great" about this guy? I've never heard of him for a start and surely to be great you have to have achieved something in the game. No disrespect to your your esteemed club Rhodes (I have seen good football at times from a KTFC side) but being the coach of a team in the SSMFL Div 1 hardly equates to "greatness". There isn't a single player or member of the management at my club, or indeed the entire league that I would describe as "great".

Discuss.

So what are your personal views of the supposedly great one missing a game to take his wife to the airport. Surely he could have given her the taxi fare rather than let down the good people of Basildon after all your PR?

I would suggest that figure is about average for a Club Chairman. The Potters Bar Town Chairman doesn't watch much more than that and, knowing Gregg's other business commitments, I doubt he gets to much more than 60% of Kentish Town games. So, what exactly is your point here?

Jonno - Seeing how 'the great one' is all over the Forum like a rash you are surely telling pork pies when you say you've never heard of him, besides he was in attendance at Lowfield twice last season so you couldn't have failed to notice him on the touchline. Anyway you commented on the fact that a Nigerian dignatory was supposed to visit Lowfield on 31 March when I enquired about the possibility of a red carpet being laid from the main gate to the Clubhouse. These are the sort of circles Clement moves in and we are extremely privileged to have him at our Club as I'm sure the SSML hierarchy are as he has brought enormous publicity to our League over the past year.
