Wow. i didn't realise that, that much work had been done on the ground. Pitch is looking great. Well done Ray.

Was shocked myself at the changes made to the pitch, really looking fantastic and I can't wait to see the lads play there on Saturday.

Well at the moment the ground is certainly getting enough moisture to grow, a storm is slowly passing over Margate at the moment!

Looking at the Hartsdown Rd end, from Jakes photo, it appears that the club house has been bought out where the shop was, is that true?

Yes it has Steve. A loss of spectator space there now.Its looking good though I must admit but it must take our capacity figure of 2000 down a shade.

 

A point I'd like to make here is that when we asked for other "temporary" improvements to be made in the ground i.e.cover down the far end,we were told,as far as I can remember,that any additional would NOT be made because the "STADIUM" would be along soon & it would be counter productive to do these things. Here we have a re-assembled clubhouse but is it an easy dismantling build because surely terraces up that end(if thats what is going there in the future,or seating..cant recall now)) would mean uprooting all of this newly re-built clubhouse surely. Or is this going to be permanent with the terraces as they are now remaining in the new stadium.(Urrgggh!)

Just something I was thinking about the other day thats all.I seriously think SOME kind of temporary cover should be put in place down the coffin end even if its just tarpaulin on stilts(or whatever) that can be erected on matchdays.

If this clubhouse is to be temporary then why not a cover as temporary down the far end. Am a bit confused with this I must admit.But then again thats nothing new for me is it L.o.l.

Something that is permanent & that IS going up tomorrow are the 5-a-side pitches.Am Looking forward to seeing a start on them at long last tomorrow. 16th they said & I fully expect these to begin tomorrow as was stated at the last meeting.There have been too many delays on these up to date & the start of them is anxiously awaited by all. A real sign of the club moving in the right direction at last. Lets hope FURTHER delays aren't thought up on this side of things as have been in the past.

Any bets on yet another delay?

I sincerely hope they put my pessimism to shame on this one.

I too thought it all a bit inconsistent.

 

I'm sure there is a masterplan, and somehow, we do not understand; but there again, clear and consistent communication is not the clubs strongest point anyway

I Hope that the 5 a side pitches start. If for any reason they is any delay the club should announce it as soon as they are aware. Its no good saying nothing for 2 weeks after the official start date as speculation would had already started

 

Lack of communications.... just one persons fault
