I don't want to start closing down threads willy-nilly, but quite frankly, it's all starting to do my head in.

Has there ever been a famous sportsperson who had a credible music career, the only one I can think of is Peter Ebdon, and his 'I am a clown' couldn't really be described as credible.

Paul McGregor of Northampton was in a proper indie band called Merc. They weren't exactly successful, but they were featured in the right-on music press (NME,Melody Maker etc.)

Also on a NTFC theme Des O'Connor actually played for the reserves!!! Although whether you could call him a 'rockstar' is questionable. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
