Wens the Spartan fixtures out?

Recommended Posts

Blues06 - HTFCew recently told us in a post that after the first month of the season, following the early rounds of the FA Cup and FA Vase, the SSML fixtures will be issued for the whole season which I for one am not in favour of. I really don't see the point of knowing in July that you are going to Langford or Oxhey Jets in April.

I assume that comment is directed at Blues06, you haven't made it clear.

Rhodes you are in a minority of 1 - not for the first time. Of course it's better to know all of your fixtures if possible - how can you argue otherwise?

Horace - How can you say that, I really don't see any point whatsoever in knowing in July where we are playing the following April, it also takes all the fun out of waiting on tenterhooks for the monthly fixtures to arrive and the allocation of officials.

It's great for players though as you can arrange your holidays around when you've got Stony Stratford away!!

You have your opinion and I have mine. It's just that everyone else who has expressed an opinion on here has agreed with me!

You obviously don't have to try and arrange a fully booked clubhouse/function room for the year then.

If you were in a higher mileage league, coach transport/travel arrangements would need to be advance booked (so if your ambitions came true for your club you would have to do this for certain matches). As for the benefit to the manager, well, where do I start......

NeutralFan - I may have got the wrong end of the stick but automatically assumed you meant a hiking holiday, I think Ostlers Lane would test the resolve of any seasoned walker including Ian Botham.
