I have been asked by Tam to put out a plea for volunteers to help with some cleaning and painting work, this coming Saturday.

So grab a your feather duster and your paintbrush and get down to Hartsdown this Saturday.

Sorry I couldn't get to the ground today to help out as I have to go to work soon but if there is another date for helping out I might be able to get to that one. Is there another date?

Tony, I know Mel is up there today going to paint some white lines on the steps. The few of us who went on Saturday mainly cleared out and cleaned the food outlets ready for Saturday. Myself and Ron( ex kitman) started on the white lines but didnt get much done.

Again I'm at work from 1pm today Alan. Its finding the day & time available to get there.Seems the days are not coinciding with my days off at the moment,so wont be able to make it again today.

Lates all week. I'll look out for another day hoping that I can manage THAT one. Thanks for that though Alan.

I wonder if anythings started up there!! I think SOMEONE would have noticed by now if it had. Dosen't look good on the 5-a-sides then.

Just spoken to Melvin who as you say is at the club this minute. No sign of work having got underway but some sort of electrical set up for the pitches are due on THURSDAY. Not sure if that means actual hard labour is going to start then too, clearing all the undergrowth/overgrowth. Lets hope it does. Another delay by the looks of it. Surprise surprise.
