If Sappleton were to re-sign that would be a real bonus.

Couple that with Harte and we would just about scrape together 4 defenders !!

What surprises me a bit though is that we have not signed another central defender earlier.

We have Smith of course which is fine, but we still need another one ,even if Sapps does sign.

Surely if RT had got someone in early, then we would not be so exposed if Sapps does not sign; and equally it would have made it harder for Sapps to negotiate too hard on his contract.

As i read it now, we are pretty desperate for Sapps to sign.

In a interview with the Surrey Comet Charley Side has stated that he has signed for the Gate. "I amnot going there to replace Danny, although I know that is how people will be talking about me" he said.

 

He also goes on to say "I see this move as an upward step"

 

So the question is still being asked has Charlie Side signed or not because the player seems to think so.
