Still wouldnt rule that one out. Maybe he's training with us at the moment. But according to Carshalton Charlie Side has signed a contract with Margate. 26 year old who started out with Welling as a teenager in their Conference days.

Excuse my ignorance, but what positions do Anderton ,Bowles and Vahinsberg play-think Anderton is right back/ centre defence?-but not sure of others.

 

Reason i ask is that with Barron,Axon,possibly Pratt, and persumably Bagley, added to (Side ? ),Haworth and Pinnock, we do seem to have a few forwards; but no-one to play in defence and/or full back.

 

If you are decent and a defender, may well have a good chance of making the first team as it stands.

Paul Axon is definitely an out & out winger MM. Daryn Vanhinsbergh seems the same. Different wings though. Axon right and DV left. Wouldnt like to see DV made to play left back as much as I'm sure he can do a job there and would play anywhere for the team. Bowles is a good keeper. All the above three are already in the Football Manager database ready for the 2008 version (I added them) and I'll add in Barron and Anderton as soon as I get the file back in the next few days. Had a pretty good idea Bowles, DV and Axon would get their chance this season.

I did see Anderton play in one reserve game and looked impressive to me at that level,as reserve player suggests.

 

Maybe Anderton is our new right back or central defender.

 

Wonder if RT managed to re-secure the signing of Sappleton ?

Harte is training with the others & Trotty is taking a good look at him first before committing to signing him. Side HAS signed. Sappleton is still in talks & holding out for a better deal.

True Andy.I was told today that WHEN players are signed, then & only then will they be mentioned on the main page. Therefore WHY no official about Side.I was sure this would have been done today after my chat but as you say & as we can see it hasn't.. WHY?

Just laziness/can't be bothered, or no-one there able to do it I presume.It really is most annoying.

Wont name names Alan but it was from up on high,most high(if you get my drift).You've probably guessed by now anyway.
Next to getting something on the main page this is as near to official as we are going to get.
I'm sure something will appear on there shortly though.
