When is there ever going to be any? No players coming in, no refurb or development, even the local press don't bother with us any more-it's all Ramsgate, Ramsgate, Ramsgate. And who can blame them. They've got a full squad raring to go, a positive attitude towards the coming season, everything is in place for them and we're in danger of getting left behind and could be second best at this rate. I say, come on Trott, come on the board pull yer [****!!****] fingers out!!

I see one of our fixtures says Margate X1-we'll be lucky to have 11 players won't we?

On the Pagester "positive, negative, realist" front-I'm positive I'm a negative realist.

I may refer you to this post next season when it's a disaster and our neighbours are laughing at us.

Why are we behind then, how come they (Ramsgate) were able to sign players in front of us. Sam Valance went to Ramsgate, Ashley Burton, these are very good local players how come we did not know about them, see them or get them!!!!!!

We are so focused on players from a far we miss what’s under our nose….

How come they are ready to go?

Why do they seem to be able to produce local players the way they do?

Why do they have such a good Youth Policy?

We do not get any information, when we do its from elsewhere! We will lose even more young players to Ramsgate because we just don’t believe in them here.

Ramsgate give players a chance therefore they tend to bring an extra 20% out of the player, disenchanted young players go there and want to make a point and they become hungry.

I expect our young players to follow suit

Players to go to Ramsgate

Carl Barron, Kenny Pratt Paul Axon and others, they may disagree and rightly so but the way the club is going we cannot expect them to stay, can we?

TQA slight point i feel i should raise is that from what I have seen & heard of the new under 18 crop of players is that quite a few have come over from ramsgate to trial for margate under 18's - have heard nothing bout players going the other way - noting of course that this is not about the players who were under 18's last season coming into the reserves.

Also as a boost to some of the players went up with the first team training and I believe are going up again this week. Now I am aware the feeling last season was that the reserves had no hope of securing a first team place but my feeling is that was that because of 'all the money' we had, whereas this season there is an optimistic sense amongst the reserves that we could get a chance at first team level.

Refurb has started and I must say looks pretty good. As I understand it car parking for the 5 a side will be behind the changing rooms. Bore holes have been drilled for phase 2 of the development. Extra windows have been put in the front of the clubhouse or are in the process of being put in. A conservatory type portch is going to be put where the main entrance to the clubhouse is or so it looks!

Margate only reinstated a youth section 3 seasons ago so we really are at the beginning of things. The reserves are bringing through young tallent and with Wevs and generation sports I believe the best tallented youngsters will be heading this way. This all takes time though. Ramsgate's youth section has been set up for years and Ramsgate have never had the money to throw around for the players with reputations. A credit to them though, they've made the best of whats avaliable locally and I believe in time thats the direction we'll be going in.

As for the CVA. I cant see any refurb going on if it wasn't going to be sorted. The evidence is there. I can asure you all that alot of works been going on up HDP and i'm quite impressed.

Thanks Paul, but this is just the thing that supporters want to know so why is the club not telling us. How about some photos of the work going on or an update. All the other clubs websites are updated regularly and it doesn't have to be team news. Even if the club just tell us "there is no news on the CVA situation but we will let you know ASAP", at least it would stop the scaremongering and moaning. We say this season after season and nobody at the club seems to take any of it onboard.
