So Who????

I am glad they are annoyed

I would of liked to play them but thats life!

I agree that the club must be put first and the chance to get a few grand in gate receipts surely can't be turned down.We won't be the first club to cancel in this way and we won't be the last and i am sure its happened to us before.

Grays will have no problem getting another fixture but they are probably annoyed because we would of took a couple of hundred down there where most other club wouldn't so perhaps their annoyance is money related as well

our directors act in the best interests of the club which is why we are successful....thats all you need to worry about...success costs money and club officials are vested with the responsibility of finding it....a home game against WH is more lucrative that an away game at grays...do you really believe they wouldn't have done the same thing......

don't critise hard working officials at your own club...

Thanks for your words of wisdom Uncle Urchin, but how dare you suggest I am critising any-one at the club, where have I critised any-one?, please enlighten me.

In answer to your question, I have no idea if they would have done the same thing, possibly...possibly not, but if they did we would've been pretty unhappy about it, hence my post regarding the circumstances being reversed.

yes well... it read pretty much like critisism to me but there you go....this football lark is pretty grisly at the best of times but of course most fans are not privvy to it and thats how it should be...there are many instances with many clubs each season where decisions are made/implemented that don't best suit Hx but its the business we are in and we always get on with it...truth is you wanted to go to grays because it suited you so you express your disatisfaction with the words above...I don't like the place or some of the things that have happened 'tween the clubs over the years so I am pleased personally but its not about us is it...?...its about the club and the change will benefit the club enormously...

I think our directors acted 100% correctly in doing what they did and in the way that they did it in the best interests of the club and we move on...

see you all at concord on saturday...

I can assure you it wasn't criticism and you have missed off the key element of my quote "I think we'd be pretty unhappy if the circumstances were reversed". I'd be surprised if you disagreed with that comment ?

You seem to be a mind reader as you have said I wanted to go to grays because it suited me and I have expressed my dissatisfaction. No where have I said that I am dissapointed with the decision or that the Grays away match suits me better than playing Wham at home, to the contrary i'd much rather be playing Wham at home than playing Grays, all I have said is I can see how they would be annoyed, as would we be if the circumstances were reversed.

well annie said that she was disappointed as she was looking forward to the grays game and you replied +1 so if I have misread that post my apologies...

as for the grays game...if it had been down to me I wouldn't have booked it anyway after they reported us to the FA last season which resulted in a hefty fine...

so west ham it is and I understand it is a pretty good team albeit the first team squad is in austria but to be truthful we wouldn't want to play their first team anyway....

should be a good night on tuesday... yay

Yes i feel sorry for Grays not to have the Mighty Urchins at there place, but you can not commercially knock back the chance of having a West Ham team over at the Bridge.

It is not just about the money on the gate;it is also about attracting future supporters for AFC Hornchurch.

I think the first time i came to watch a game at Bridge Avenue was a friendly against a West Ham xi;i liked everything about the experience and have been coming regularly since then.
