NEW STRIPS ??

The first team Home & Away strips are now two seasons old. Can anyone from the Club confirm whether they are to be replaced for the upcoming campaign?

apparently they are not going to change the kit until the end of next year because this is the last year of the active sponsor, if this is true or not i don't no.

To be fair, bigger issues to spend the money on i should think.

 

Anyway, its whose inside the shirt that matters.

 

Mind you-and i am reluctantly critical of those who work hard without reward for the good of the club-if a little more effort was made to promote shirt sponsorship, maybe there would be some additional funds around.No doubt another half hearted attempt will be made about mid september when its tool late,and then the club wonders why interest and attendances are obviously dwindling !!

Understand where you're coming from MM, but a new design would generate sales in the Club shop - there must be around a 100 fans who'd buy it just to be up-to-date.

Unfortunately i don't think marketing is the clubs strongest subject.

Appreciating there is always an initial investment, but it would be good to see a bit more promotion of the club from within, before this great club dies completely through lack of interest,not being generated from within.

The NLP reported that Bromley made £200.000 last season through having a commercial manager . MFC should take a big look at this situation and put something into place . There is always money to be made but the club must make the 1st move . This is where we will be divided from other clubs that have this already in place as well as the clubs that have plenty of money already . How we survive is beyond me with average gates and big wage bills each month but we do some how seem to pull it off but the club could do so much better by employing a commercial manager to bring in that extra capital the club so desperatly needs .

My dad was Commercial Manager back in the late 70's/Early 80's and actually instigated the original Golden Gate Lottery! (stolen from Coventry City FC!!) - good revenue income even back then. They definitely should look into bringing this post back and start to market the club. If it works for other non-league clubs, am sure it would work for us.

A Commercial Manager, as MargateFan hinted, did start with us but that was on the day the news broke out about HM Revenue & Customs applying for MFC to be wound up for late payment of PAYE. Given that bombshell the guy decided to resign an hour after starting on that Monday morning (this was relayed to us by KP at the MISA AGM).

 

With MFC making those sort of headlines in the Local Press, it'd take a very brave man to take on a task of raising money for the Club.

Yes and that means we are now 3 weeks further along the line with no fundraising or commercial sponsorship.
