Good News! Our petition has been accepted by the Number 10 web team, and is now available on the Number 10 website at the following address:

Remember, it doesn't just effect Edgware Town but lots of other teams. It's a great opportunity for our new PM, Gordon Brown, to score some points with the voters with the elections looming and prove how serious he is to getting back some credibility in the government.

Our town knows how it feels to lose our local club, although our circumstances were slightly different.

The petitions on the government website are a joke. There is one on there at the moment to get Mr Tumbles from childrens TV awarded the OBE!

Why petition for an OBE or a knighthood when all you need is a sack full of cash to get one. Sir Tumbles doesn't quite have the right ring to it anyway. The head of the Queens Award Office is an ardent Spurs fan apparantly. Perhaps someone could get himself a 'gong' by giving away a certain ball and shirt :-)

What better way to do that with thousands of signatures behind you on a No.10 petition?

 

The petition isn't just about Edgware Town - it's about every council controlled playing field. Even Copthall Stadium!

I will be happy to sign but I disagree that a petition is the be all and end all as you seem to be making out and twisting people's arms behind their backs to sign, indeed Jonno belittled it earlier today as a bit of a joke.

The whole petition site is a joke, so you run the risk of not being taken seriously by championing this cause on it eagles.

 

You are also getting a little too enthusiastic about promoting it, bordering on bullying.

 

Its a democracy, but rein in your desire to get us to vote on everything please eagles.

I don't think I have even addressed you directly in anything I have written on this forum, ever!

 

If bullying is asking people if they've signed yet and asking them to spread the word. Then I'm a bully!

 

However, I would say bullying would be more like what you, Rhodes and Uncle Urchin seem to favour doing and that is trying to ridicule something that someone else has taken the initiative to do.

 

If you have no interest and simply don't care in partaking, don't get involved! I'm not forcing you to get involved! That would be bullying!

 

And in any case, it probably doesn't affect you, so what do you care, right?

 

You probably prefer talking about Rhodes and what he has and hasn't done etc! Good for you!

I joined this forum because I thought its users were passionate about non-league football. That and the fact that the person you're trying to defend thinks he's an expert on Sport London e Benfica when he's never seen the team even play, let alone know the difference between a café and a restaurant/bar.

In your case, it's more luke warm!

I think you need to analyse the word bullying and don't compare me asking a few questions of some people, to where their interest lies, with real bullying!

There are obviously some that hate Gavin so much that they are blind to the greater good!

And if I take the forum topic away from being about Rhodes, you're complaining. Surely that would be a good thing? You really shouldn't be so influenced by Rhodes! He's not a good road model!
