New Signing!

Recommended Posts

Had a quick look on Google and saw this snippet which indicates he`s highly thought of.

Strikers Gabriel Fanibuyan and Richie Howard, along with keeper Richard Hayward, have been offered new deals, but are mulling over their future.

Browne said: "I have an idea of how I want to play and Gabriel (Fanibuyan) is central to that.

"I've made him an offer and hope he stays. Other clubs have been in for him, but we've had positive talks.

Don`t know for sure if he played in our game at Potters Bar but their 2 forwards that day caused us lots of problems, i think he may have scored a pen against us.

Just checked the Ryman site and he didn`t score against us crazy

John Batch went to watch him play on numerous occasions last season. He really rates him as a quality signing, and is delighted that he agreed to come to Canvey. From what he says Fanibuyan has tremendous pace and stamina, and is comfortable playing anywhere in midfield or upfront. In fact, he scored 18 goals for Potters Bar last season despite playing the first 10 games at left back!

I pm`d Football Man and this is what he had to say about Fanibuyan

"Quality player. Certainly of Conference National standard, if not Football League. Only down side is that he can sometimes be too quick for his own good (ball stuck under feet, etc.) but he has lightning pace, good dribbling skills and knows how to shoot. Very versatile too. Can play out wide, centre mid, up front or "in the hole". I couldn't really tell you which position is his best. A good asset to your side."
