Two weeks to the first friendly

I guess the first question is will we survive ( cue song ).

Being positive and assuming we do,just two weeks until the Grays game -'and biggest' friendly.

Needless to say-minimal promotion of it by the club--in fairness,on this occasion- minds are probably more on HMRC issues.

No news of players joining training as trialists,no news/chance of signings; so i guess we've got the 10/11 contracted players and some of last seasons fringe players.

No news/promotion of sponsorship opportunitiesfor supporters-e.g shirt sponsorship.-the club obviously have so much money they don't need any more-mmmmm !

However imo,the team is still good enough for mid table just the same if RT can organise them into a unit (can he ?)

But above all here we are-14 days to go-and from me at least ,still a touch of excitement.

I wonder how many will be at the Grays game.

Obviously the forum represents only a small minority of supporters, but very noticeable that the forum is so much quieter than the same time last year.

In life, business, football;at anyone time, you are either growing or dying -there's no static middle ground-if the forum interest reflects whats happening to MFC it does not bode well, and we will struggle to get 150 people to that first friendly, and 400 to the games at start of season.

Is it beyond thinking that Ramsgate will get bigger attendances than Margate next season.

Don't the owners of the club see the trends and signs .
