Todays press release on the Ryman site is even more encouraging then yesterdays

Maybe just maybe things are going to be ok...

Light At The End Of TheTunnel

A press release on the Ryman League site today offers encouraging news regarding the future of the club and chances of football this season

Press Release

EDGWARE TOWN FC

The Club have started to put a rescue package together, and expect to confirm they have secured their financial security. They have use of their ground until the end of 2007, and are exploring its possible continued use after that to the end of the season, together with alternative arrangements to allow them to play the season through elsewhere. The Club have requested a little more time in these respects, and have promised to keep the League aware of on-going developments

That's good news Gav. I was sorry to hear about the potential demise of Edgware as I am about any football club but lets hope that you can continue in some form or another.

Lato - You will no doubt claim that you hadn't seen my earlier post before you posted this message to Gavin.

I actually hadn't as we were probably posting at the same time. This is the sort of thing that annoys me and probably other people about you rhodes.

Lato - I really can't see what I'm doing wrong and can only apologise if I un-intentionally offend people. I just call it as I see it but unfortunately it's human nature to go on the defensive when we hear something we don't like even if it's the truth.

more psychobabble? As I said in another post I still read the baord but rarely post because its got very boring. Then when I do post you immediately have a go at me for not posting. Like I said who are you to tell people what they should or shouldn't post.

It's strange that a number of members don't find it boring at all and seem to swear by the SSML Forum such as Socrates, TheSpursFan and Bitch for example. Like I said I think you want to post but are just cutting off your nose to spite your face.

But most of those people don't support SSML teams. By the start of the season, when they go back to talk football on their own forums, you will probably have driven off all the rest of us and end up talking to yourself like you did on the Kentish Town forum.

Maldini - If you, HTFCew and others honestly feel that way then I am more than happy to disappear from view for a while but I really think you are exaggerating and blowing things out of all proportion. Lato came on here this morning for example and I simply welcomed him back into the fold after a short absence, no more no less.

No you didn't, you started on him straight away for not posting and some drivel about Ruislip being responsible for Hounslow's demise.

Why can't you just stick to the topic of the thread without sidetracking or hijacking it.

Until you change your ways you will continue to receive stick from the forum posters that are fed up with your comments.

Few points, who is Socrates? Rhodes mate most can see Bitch and SpursFan are taking the proverbial out of you, not in a nasty way I might add but playing along, and making great banter.

Hounslow Borough, might be worth looking at them first before asking RMFC what happened, a manager whose last 3 clubs have all folded, lots of unpaid fines, bills etc. Spending beyond their means at a playing level maybe???

Paulb - Socrates is like an Aladdin character and appears in a puff of smoke when called for such as when I was searching high and low for Kanu's legendary post recently. Regarding Maldini's post I take his comments onboard however it isn't only me who is guilty of straying away from a topic of a thread, a lot of members are guilty of it as it's easily done without realising.

I promised myself that I'd stop replying to your posts, but it's only lasted a few hours! "Searching high and low for the legendary Kanu's post" - don't make me laugh - you just click on "user list", find kanu then click on "Show User's Posts". As "Kanu" only posted the once, it will take you about 10 seconds to locate it.

I didn't think of doing that, I'm a bit of an IT dinosaur.

Horace - Okay I will, thanks for the information. Like I said to Maldini earlier today I really think you are over reacting to my posts instead of analysing my comments and taking them at face value, you always seem to pick holes in them for the sake of it and dismiss what I say as nonsense which it isn't.
