There is an American saying which is....

 

"You can't beat City Hall !" (i.e. Council or what-ever) That's Bollox. You can if you make enough noise and trouble.

 

I can only echo Spursfans comments. Dorking FC get no help from a very rich Council who just happen to be our landlords and all of a sudden they want to terminate the lease.

 

The ground and surrounding area, (owned by the Council), has been recently valued at Eight and a half million quid The valuation was at the behest of the council, who just happens to be Tory controlled. No surprise there, then !

 

 

As far as DFC are oncerned, they are still awaiting some form of eviction notice from the Council and will then fight it through the courts which our legal eagle tells us will take a minimum of one year, and then after an appeal, two years !

 

So get stuck in up there !

Funny how they put the address as Edgware Town FC Burnt Oak, Hendon, when the ground is sadly in Harrow:(

This is kind of funny, doing a google search of Edgware Town (White Lion) it brought this up....I still could not find where Rhodes found his info from though..

Whilst I empathise with Edgware Town FC and their immediate plight, I am perplexed at the undercurrent of racism in Gavins post. Multiculturalism in North London is certainly NOT the cause of his clubs problems. A dangerous and absurd assumption indeed.
