I'm sure I'll be corrected if Ive got any of that wrong.

Our likely promotion rivals Wimbledon, Chelmsford, Margate and Carshalton all started charging 9 last season.

I believe they will be strong this season BC.

After overcoming their relegation hangover from the previous season, they finished well (even managing to beat us BC!!!), seem to have stabilised well and found their feet at this level and made a couple of decent signings like Phil Ruggles.

My guess for the top 5 in alpha order would be

AFCH, AFCW, Billericay, Carshalton and Chelmsford.

Margate seem to have a few issues presently.

Yep, I think you could be right there jl, the AFC's and Chelmsford are strengthening with Higher division players, Carshalton will be well organized and keen to move back up.

The overall quality we have, coupled with a good work ethic and team spirit should see us in the mix (I hope).

I can see Margate, Ramsgate, Heybridge and Borehamwood pushing for a playoff spot. Harlow Hastings and Maidstone will probably get off to good starts carrying on the momentum from last year, and as BC said, they may well be looking to make the playoffs play offs.

Mind you, if its anything like last season there will be 15 teams in with a shout.

It'll be interesting to see what the bookies make of it all.

Carshalton definitely look one of the most likely to step up from mid-table to contenders this season.

AFCH look best placed of the promoted teams, certainly expect them to be in the mix for the play-offs. have to say that I think the step up is a big one now, the increase in the number of teams at div 1 level has substantially diluted the overall standard of the division 1s in my opinion.

i think we will do well next season.Hopefully finish in the top half.We looked comfortable when beating borehamwood & harrow in cupm competitions last season and we have strengthened the squad quite a bit since then.

We wasn't outclassed by welling in the F.A cup although i did feel we lacked the killer touch against that opposition.

I hope we are up there but think the same teams in the prem will figure this season, heybridge looked a decent enough side when we played them last season in league cup the others i haven't seen enough to comment
