back in the pyramid

Recommended Posts

Former southern league club Canterbury city fc are back in business after a six years gap. After playing Torquay utd in the FA first round proper in 1963,they folded in 2001.Now they have been admitted to the kent league div 2 west.Over 90 players attended their summer trials and they are looking forward to move up the pyramid again. The Bridge boys are visiting the sleeping giants this saturday for their first summer friendly.A town like Canterbury deserves a club at higher level and we are pleased to be one of the first teams they play after they reformed. asienvisit their web-site on canterburycityfc.com

Don't worry coachie, I remember Canterbury City. Saw Boro play down there about three times in the 70's. They used to have a speedway track around the ground (Kingsmead I think it was called) and I think I am right in saying that an old Boro Director (one of the ones Uncle is always going on about)was involed as a promoter.
