Spoke to Alan Heath at Birch USC training last week. Despite the rumours! Staying at Margate as he likes playing for them. Nothing confirmed with Dan Dalton. He's training with the Rams but doesn't know yet.

Keepers we have. I reckon we could make-up a fair reserve team, the thing is could they live in Div 1. Counting on still having a club, not long to go before we find out what sort of res team we have.

All good stuff but on a serious note I cannot believe the other side of the island are so far in front at this stage they have a full squads of players, and are likely to take a couple of our reserves from last year!!!!!

 

Why is it such a problem for the club to give us some information is RT signing anyone from anywhere??? is anyone coming up from the reserves? Or coming back from any loan spells?

 

Very worried we are in July now!!!!!

Reserves and u18s this evening, it has been suggested that there are u18 trials, seems a lot of last seasons u18s are going for reserve places. Not heard of any reserves taking that big step but as things stand I can see chances coming their way.

Karl Barron staying at the club, Kenny Pratt staying at the club, Alan Heath staying at the club. A few players are going up with the first team for training on Thursday. And sidenote the running was bloody knackering

That is good to her with Barron, Pratt & Heath staying, noticed Bug's comments on an earlier post stating Barron was going nowhere, other rumours of players going obviously not founded!

 

But how many are going to progress I hope RT signs a couple of them sooner rather than later.

hope the reserve players going up with first team are not shagged like Neil Hoggart was last year, took him most of the year to become unshagged by Trooty

TQA why would Trotty sign them or do you think they are good enough for first team football ? if that was the case why has no one shown any real interest in any of them and snapped them up in the close season.

bigtw, at the moment i get the feeling that there are not going to be many, if any, additions to margate from anywhere else than within. This is why I would feel slightly worried that if they knew about these problems for a while why they didn't put up a fight to keep the likes of Danny & Dolly who would have been cheaper to keep rather than bringing others in on higher wages.

 

However there is always the chance that I could be wrong and there could be signings galore lined up but the above is just the impression I got from training

RP it was'nt a case of them not fighting to keep Dan and Dolly Trooty I believe thought he would be able to atrached better players in but with all this trouble surrounding the club what player in their right mind would join. You never know these lads might get a chance but it wont be through Trottys choice it will be because his hands are tied with the budget restraints. These players will have to take their chances and maybe one or two might shine through and stake a claim to a regular first team place.
