FA Cup & Trophy Draws released...

Early round draws of FA competitions just been released.

Margate away to Farnham Town or Ringmer or Chatham Town in FA Cup First Qualifying Round.

To be played on 15th September

 

Also, Margate are away to Enfield Town or Aylesbury United in the First Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy.

Ties to be played on 20th October.

Also just seen on The FA's site (for our young reserve/U18 players), Margate are away to Horley Town in the FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round, date tbc.

Away draws again-even though receipts are shared,means two opportunities for bar takings etc go missing.

Both cup fixtures look big banana skins to me.

Well said Alexmfc, lets have a bit of optimism for the coming season, instead of all this doom and gloom crap. If it all goes tits up then o.k. but until it does for God's sake chear up some of you.

Bum draws really-we seem to specialise in banana skins.

 

You start off full of optimism that we will get kindly draws,and in the financial constraints we are in, somehow proceed to the FA cup 1st round and beyond, and get a cash cow from somewhere.

 

Not looking promising on these draws, but you live in eternal hope that RT can this season get the guys to perform consistently on the pitch and make substantial progress in these cups.What a joy that would be to uplift the spirits

 

With our financial plight, i'd be delighted to see cup success and mediocrity in the league.

Cup success stimulates greater interest for longer,and hence more money into the club; and lets face it, play-offs look beyond reach this season-the infrastructure's not ready anyway.
