Another pre-season game

Am I missing something here?

That is from the Bromley official site and whilst we don't know the actual deal between the two clubs I cannot see the logic if we have to pay to get in at Bromley to watch the game unless we are having all the gate money. I would have thought that any deal that involved a game between the two clubs would have benefitted Margate. However, reading it, unless the word "hosting" means that we are getting in free and the Bromley fans are paying, with all the gate money being given to Margate, where is the advantage for us? Who knows, perhaps the last sentence is the scenario?

 

It just looks to me as though we are going to have to pay money to watch a player who has been transferred from our club to another and that money will go to the buying club to pay his transfer fee.

 

I am not trying to stir things up, as I say we don't know the full details, but I do begrudge paying money to the club that has bought one of our players "as part of the deal". Obviously if it was a competitive match that would be a different matter, but "part of the deal"?

 

If anyone knows the facts perhaps they could enlighten me/us.

A thought as a complete guess, maybe the ticket receipts will be shared equally between the two clubs?

The bigger picture is of course, it will stretch our players against on paper a better side, and psf's are really about practice for the players.

As it is/was, we have fewer psf's than most sides, although personallyi don't think thats too bad a thing

maybe the board screwed more money out of Bromley and they said okay if we can play you at home ?

I am thinking that with all the refurbishments going on at the club Margate thought it may have been better to have it at Bromley just in case the work isn't completed and this may have been the best date for both sides.

 

So we may keep the Gate reciepts.
