The Rhodes bitch against Haringey Borough thread

Recommended Posts

Is that all you can say today, Spurs could do a lot more in the Community if they put their minds to it but it's all about 'what's in it for me guv' to them at the end of the day and 'I'll scratch your back you scratch ours'.

THFC are a shining beacon to other football clubs concerning community relations, Rhodes will be well aware of that, and I believe their motives to be honourable.

unfortunately rhodes has accepted the french euro from lemirates and has had the wool pulled over his eyes, his mind has been turned, and he is walking on thin ice with his nose in the air.

Had the shirt and ball issue been nipped in the bud earlier the boot may have been on the other foot, there would be no knives in the back, and he wouldnt have had to change horses in midstream.

TheSpursFan - I was speaking to Chris Ramsey the other day who works with John McDermott on the Academy side of things and Community relations are improving in leaps and bounds at Bill Nicholson Way, I may have been a little harsh earlier to criticise however when I was collaborating and negotiating deals with Spurs a year or two ago on behalf of Haringey Borough it was like getting blood out of a stone at times and they wanted to know what was in it for them.

I am glad you have acknowledged the positive steps Spurs have taken in the last couple of years,Rhodes, it is unfortunate that you came away with a bad impression of them.

They are perhaps more interested in helping local children and the disadvantaged, rather than giving things to local football clubs. They've been let down before you know.

Yes I tend to agree with that, they may have got wind of 'Sugar's' antics at Coles Park and been purposely obstructive with me, afterall what Chairman of any non league Club would turn down the opportunity of a pre-season friendly with Spurs let alone one at Step 5 level.

I was rude to you because you have annoyed me,

you made some disparaging remarks about spurs

You have tried to get Rhodes reported for gambling.

You have made out Rhodes has offended you over the greek community comment.

For some reason you ignore the claim Haringey turned down a friendly with a premier ship side and claim to be trying to clarify what step they were in.

I thought what a pedantic pillock, some sort of minor official with his head in a rule book, and instead of just thinking it , spurred on by a bottle of Chianti with my lamb I posted it.

I apologise for offending you. In the same way that many on here let their loathing of Rhodes cloud their judgement, I sometimes allow my admiration for most of his writings to colour my opinion of other forum users.

I have to say that PetetheGreek does come across as a little humourless at times although it's probably not his fault if that's his character

thespursfan - If Rhodes has a problem with me then he is free to express his views to me. I will do likewise with him. I'm sure he can defend himself against anything I or other forum members have to say about him without having to rely on his poodle.

The difference between you and Rhodes is that he doesn’t have to resort to using words like “burke” and “pillock” when he does not agree with views of other members.
