Home draw! Cogenhoe (pronounce "cucknow") scored over 100 goals last season like ourselves! (but like us won nothing). 4-4 draw anyone?

It's Horace's dialect that pronounces cucknow as cook-no !!

I was taught to pronounce it "cook-no", but I stand to be corrected.

According to their website it's cook-no, and they are the Cooks.

It's my Derbyshire accent when spelling phonetically! Agreed "cuck-no" but no amount of phonetics can add the Northants flavour to the pronunciation!

Incidentally, just popped into town and saw that "The Fridge Magnates" were playing tonight at a pub- surely the name was inspired by Rhodes?

Blues06 - i would say its likely i will be at Utd, but never say never, will know for sure in a couple of week. You'll be glad to know we are in the process of signing some defenders, something we sorely lacked last year!!

Although not officially in the public domain - it's common knowledge that the FA Cup draw is 'out'. Cup draws invariably throw up some interesting situations but what about London Colney v Langford where Colney's new manager, Phil Childs, didn't wait for his loyalty bonus before leaving Langford after being appointed their joint-manager just two weeks before switching to Cotlandswick.
