I'm sorry, but haven't the club heard of direct debit. There would be no problem then with "lost mail".

Lets hope things sort themselves out here. Seems a bit of a nightmare situation over a missed payment(one missing cheque),though I appreciate the Inland Revenue have their job to do. Still seems a bit harsh though & I wonder why the I.R. are so keen to stand their ground on this. If we REALLY have just had "A" misplaced cheque then surely common-sense would come in to it somewhere! Even from the Inland Revenue.(maybe not on second thoughts)

But is all thats stated true though? Thats a question we have to ask. I would like to think that it is & I have no reason to disbelieve Malcolm on this. I'm sure we will be fine in the end & if & when,(said with sincere hope) it turns out that way then I would suggest that the club pay by direct debit in the future or alternative payment method that can be back-tracked upon for confirmation should a similar situation arise again(god forbid).

Just to add thanks to the club for giving out a speedy follow up update on this. Now all we need is one further statement saying all is sorted,once & for all.Then we can put all this behind us.

agree and then i can stop biting my nails and drinking the booze lol malcom seems to be a very nice and genuine man so have no reason not to blieve what he has said, wish other members of the club were as warming as him maybe the 'club/fan' relationship would be so much more harmonious
