Not having been to New York, it looks ok in the brochures & on TV, but all those Americans put me off....so I would prefer to stay where I am....but do please feel free to f*ck off to New York if you would prefer.

As the great Lee Jackson once sang....it's no use complaining about 9 to 5 if you haven't got the guts to leave.

Trot along now....

Regards,

PS....awaits abusive answer...but I couldn't give a f*ck.

Cheers,

beer2

Blimey AFF, admitting to seeing the Stones BEFORE they were famous means you must have remembered the Titanic going down too!

Hello CG.

As most people will know it's hot here, usually around 30 degrees most of the time. We get heavy rain the difference is, because they are used to heavy downpours they have built large storm drains so it rarely floods.

I saw Desmond Dekker at the woodville halls but my hair wasn't lomg enough for Genesis, The Nice or Van Der Graaf Generator.

AndrewC, if you hadn't b*gg*r*d off to the other side of the world you would have been listening to The Gypsy Kings tonight, Bryan Ferry on monday night and best of all Joe Cocker on wednesday night.....isn't it spooky how I know that?

I saw Van Der Graaf Generator at the Woodies.....it was painful!

But there were some great nights there as well....Argent (the week 'Hold you head up' got to number 1), ELO, Uriah Heep, Status Quo, Groundhogs, etc.etc. There were other awful nights too, anyone remember Jo Jo Gunne, so loud you could hear them half way down Windmill Street.

And what about Argent and Supertramp at what was the Girls Tech.school in Hall Road. Or Sam Apple Pie, Mogul Thrash and Greatest Show on Earth at the boy's Grammar.

I remember when you could see a top band, get pissed, have a Chinese takeaway and still have change from a fiver???

Good days.
