Phew...............................

We were'nt kept in the dark by Dorking, it's the uncertainty of it all with the Rebels FC stating this that and the other all the time makes you wonder who to believe.

Right thats the end of that no more, dont want to get TSF in any more trouble or Krooner will be pulling the cards out !!!!

Sorry Teffers

If you werent kept in the dark why did you post this in April?

"Great bit of gossip there Park Boy !!!

Where did you here this as it's news to me and those at Dorking."

it was in response to the following "gossip" by park boy

"The current Chairman who owns the club is in the process of being evicted by the Council for not paying rent and the state of the ground. "

"Could be an interesting situation as it could be the end of Dorking but also Bookham as they would not have anywhere to play. "

Teflon

Think it is a bit much to calls us the Rebels. Just wanting to put the club back where I beleive it could be.

When I have asked Ray Collins back in January if he would like some help running the club - This was turned down.

Asked if he was interested in selling the club - This turned down.

The Council contacted myself and the Lunn Brother to see if there was anything we could do to help resolve the issues they had with Dorking Football Club Limited.

The reason I got involved was I did not want football to go our of Dorking, which is still a threat. They have no lease the Council will no longer give them one and at some point a service notice will be served along with other issues.

Don't care if you don't believe me, why should you and as in life there is always to sides to every story.

It was decide not to go ahead with setting up a new club as this was not what the aim was that we had in the beginning.

We will just now sit back and let the Council do their stuff ( if they ever do as they have been saying since Feb that they were going to serve notice ). so who knows.

But when it does happen we will be in the wings ready to go.

When thing I will agree with, lets stop the talk about Dorking until the service notice does happen, then it will be interesting to talk about things.

Just hope you will be able to play out the season.

TSF,

Read what is says TSF "GREAT BIT OF GOSSIP !!!!!

there is no more into it than that,

Read this part again, The current Chairman who owns the club is in the process of being evicted by the Council for not paying rent and the state of the ground. "

The chairman Jack C only owns a limited number of shares in the club he does not holy own the club, Dorking FC have always been upto date with there rent, they did have a dispute over insurance premiums with the council which was paid, this was due to an increase due to "terrorist activety" !!!!

The reason I called you Rebels was to show seperation between the two sides.

You may be right MVDC may or may not do anything

Can I ask you a question, why when you are chairman at Guildford City would MVDC contact you regarding another football club in a different borough ????

NO, MVDC in my view (blinkered on not) have other plans for Meadowbank and most likly want to redevelope the site along with Thornfield, I stated why i thought the ground was run down due to previous plans but are now using this against Dorking.

If MVDC evict DFC then any team coming in I believe would only have a short term lease while the plans are finalised.

Again this is my personal thoughts, I hope these dont happen and football continues at Meadowbank.

I have been asured and have proof that they will not devolope on the Meadowbank site and a 30 year lease will be given to the right person.

Can't say much more than that.

Thorfield were never going to use the whole ground just a small section of the car park, so don't understand why the rest of the ground has not been looked after

If that is the case then nore can I.

Why will MVDC give a 30 year lease to the right person and not to DFC ??

And therefore on what grounds can they evict them on ??

Well APM i think that any return to football as a club official may well be of interest to the F.A.

Recent publicity in the national press has bought to the public's attention to the regulations concerning outside interfearance of clubs affairs.

I do believe that you have just admitted to interfearing in the business of a club while an official of another.

Shame you decided not to form your new club cos I reckon that the current DFC owners would have reported that. affig

Evidently ATM Bookham are looking for a new Chairman if you got that gig I would love to be a fly on the wall in the boardroom after the tennants v landlords fixtures grinthough perhaps that could well trigger a hefty rent rise.

By the way Teffers BW has just returned to manage Horsley so they could follow Knaphill into the CCL. Just in time for a nice local derby after you get relegated. affig

Lets just leave it to the 'Legal Eagles'.

Whatever happens, it'll now take a minimum of two years to resolve.

Here's a couple of interesting question for you !

APM says he has assurances by MVDC of a 30 lease to any club'acceptable' to them.

1) Has he actually SEEN or got that in WRITING himself ?

2) Should MVDC renage on that agreement, would they be legally bound to provide and pay for an alternative ground elsewhere within the Dorking area ?

There is a very interesting monetary figure of Eight and a Half Million Quid being bandied around certain quarters.

Now, I wonder what that could refer to and how it was arrived at ???

An interesting point Spurs Fan, as has been broached on the alternative forum.

I take it you have read this weeks edition of the Dorking Advertiser' ??

SURPRISE, SUPRISE !!!

MVDC want to sell of ALL of their Leisure Services, with the exception of Dorking Sports Centre. This would include Leatherhead Leisure Centre which has been run down for years

Think ahead..... That would probably also include all the parks and recreation grounds, such as Brockham, where many small youth football clubs hire pitches from MVDC at already quite expensive rates.

Result ??? A private firm takes them over and charges would go through the roof and these small clubs would fold.

Given the fact that DFC do NOT hold a valid lease, MVDC must legally be responsible for the bulk of the work to be done at Meadowbank. I can't see that happening, given the above.

I think its fair time that MVDC's cage should be well and truly rattled and come clean on the whole issue.

Meadowbank needs some serious maintenance and repair.

I dont think DFCL can claim some tenants rights (security of tenure) without accepting the responsibiities that go with it(maintenance and safety).

Trouble is I get the impression DFCL is so skint it cant do any repairs or pay for them in the future if the council do it.

Its time for everyone to s£!t or get off the pot!
