MIdday one hour hush! - In remembrance of Dennis

Please excuse me if I am being presumptuous here.

 

We say our final farewell to our friend Dennis today. Some cant be at the funeral today,some probably didnt even know him but he was a true Gate fan & supporter & a remarkably friendly person.

Thought it would be a fitting remembrance of him if at (12)midday we could respect him with an hours silence on the forum.

 

My personal message to you Dennis (& I'll see you later in person),is:

 

"Memories dont leave like people do,

They always stay with you,

Whether they be good or bad,

They're always something that you'll have"!

 

There WERE no bad ones in Dennis's case!

 

You will NOT be forgotten,neither will the memories.

 

Rest easy friend!

Just back from the funeral. A lovely service for what was a lovely man.

could`nt make the funeral but popped into the club house and had a pint for him , will be missed on the terreces of HDP next season by all who knew him . Heard it was a great turnout by the surporters well done to you all .

I am sure everyone will have there own opinion as to where it should be. For me there wil be four to chose from and anyone near the TV will be fine for me as Dennis sups his pint and watches the results come in.

I cannot get my head around it being Dennis we said goodbye to today. In my mind's eye he is standing in front of the telly in the clubhouse, pint in hand. I had to stop myself looking round for him today.

In truth, I think I will see him there every time I go from now on.

A Very nice service, for as im sure you would all say was a true blue and a top bloke! I am proud to say I knew him he will be lived on by all of us! Its sad to think that he will not be with us next season.... but in a way he will, he will still be infront of that t.v with his pint! he will still be on the terraces with his flask and leaking cup! he will be everywhere you ever remember him being... Take it easy Dennis and rest in peace.
