Wow Blues you might be a little to positive for some on here, but I agree, nucleus of squad still good so no reason why not imo.

with the infrastructure Trott has to work with i, would be very surprised if we finish in a play-off place. I think this is achievable, but it will be very difficult and we have to be consistantly good next season. Lets see who else we bring in first as it is still early days.

An even more frustrating season than last year, Trott to be even more clueless and be gone by new year although we'll do better in the cups ( although to perform better than against Potters Bar won't be difficult ).

On a positive note, looking forward to the sausage & chips.

I'm afraid I'm also going into next season not expecting much BUT......having said that, two seasons ago the mighty Watford were favourites for relegation and I ended up in Cardiff watching them thrash Leeds (sorry Taffy) and go up to the Premiership so anything can happen.

I'm not convinced by Trotts style of management but I think with more average players, which is what we'll end up with, I think we may see a bit more commitment than last term and as long I see some of that and some major effort ( sadly lacking last year) I'm happy. Hockton leaving could also be a blessing in disguise ( don't think he's Conferance standard-watch this space).

No a better than expected season for us. I to had many negatives last season QPR could have been relgated but forgot we always beat Stoke (sorry Blueblood). The Mighty Athletic nearly relegated for the first time in thier history (finished 4th from bottom).

However, the Maroons are CHAMPIONS so come on MARGATE and follow the Maroons example next season.

Before we went to Chelmsford last season, people were dubious of a result, given our performances just prior, but I said I truly believed the lads would be fabulous, and they were.

No reason why we cannot do the same next season, look at the core of players we have, and then build on that. And perhaps be fabulous more often than last year.

If we cannot look to the coming season with hope and expectation it is not worth looking at all.

No problems Hornet everybody thrashes Leeds at the moment grin I think and hope that our players will do us proud next season but then I am a positive person lol.

  • 2 weeks later...

Not far off being 'this season'.

Still a chance for RT to sign some talent-not necessarily experienced players but some talented younger guys who want to achieve.Seems like he is struggling all round though.

Current thoughts from me are on what we know at moment, we will finish 14th.

I guess biggest win of the season though will be to beat HMRC
