could you please clarify this new rule about players under the age of 16 not allowed to play in a team of mixed age?does it apply to any competition(fa cup, vase, league cup etc).shame we won't see another Pele` or Paolo Maldini making their debut at 15 years and a few months old.....just to point out:we, apart Matt mc gregor(15-4 months) and lawrence priddle(15-8 months) haven't got anyone under the age of 16 at the mo so the question is purely out of curiosity. smile

apparently boys must be 16 years of age before they can be signed for a mixed age team.i'll make another rule then:at non league level step 3 to 5 anyone over the age of 32 can't play unless has been at that club for more than 5 consecutive seasons.i thought at these level was all about encouraging the grass roots level but it doesn't seem the case.... whistle

so is the non league footie in Italy, clubs at step 3-4-5 must include a certain number of young players in the 16 teams players list(3 born in 1988 or 5 under 18's).players over the age i think 30 or something can't play at step 3 or 4 unless they have been at that club for a number of years. In doing so you force the clubs to look for young talented players to nurture and some" matusalems "can go and play at step 5 or 6.it makes sense Uncle,it does... smile
