Gravesend & Northfleet's Goal of the Season 06/07!

Recommended Posts

I've narrowed my decision down to the following:

12th August 06

Mark DeBolla - Aldershot Town (Away)

The 30 yard half volley

16th September 06

Onome Sodje - Exeter City (Home)

The last minute equaliser

23rd September 06

Mark DeBolla - St. Albans City (Away)

The 20 yard shot, which cut through the City defence and the last minute winning goal

14th October 06

Danny Slatter - Burton Albion (Away)

The curling shot after a fantastic team build up and the back heel from Liam Coleman

25th November 06

Danny Slatter - Northwich Victoria (Away)

A shot very similar to Burton Albion (Away)

16th December 06

Liam Coleman - Havant & Waterlooville (Away)

A turn on the volley over the defence and keeper to put Fleet through to the 2nd round of the FA Trophy

3rd January 07

Liam Coleman - Grays Athletic (Away)

A turn on the shot, after a great team build up

20th January 07

Luke Moore - Exeter City (Away)

His half volley wonder goal, scored from a very acute angle

21st April 07

Charlie MacDonald - St. Albans City (Home)

Charlie 30 yard shot from the tightest of acute angles, and his last goal scored for the Fleet

This is my winner, just for the disgust on the face of one of the St Albans officials face. Lovely.

Shame St Albans went down for him alone. I'd sponsor him if he agreed to support someone else in this division. He was quality entertainment.

Do you mean that shot from just outside the 6 yard box.

I think you were getting a bit carried away there.

Possibly the funniest thing I saw last season!
Maybe not the best goal (Colemans was classic - had forgotten about that) but definitely one of the most appreciated/celebrated.

I remember that i nearly lost my coat and phone when that goal went in. And the look on the [****!!****] in the suit, who had been ranting throughout the game, he was like a troll, he kept coming out of his little room, having a shout and buggering off back in.

Varneys finish at Stafford was great. Its great to remember all these goals.

Sodje and his trickler at Kidderminster. I remember they should have beaten us by 3 at least then sodje had 2 1-on-1s. 1st keeper saved and 2nd keeper got as touch on it, and it seemed to take forever to roll across the line. It kept the dream alive
