Greg Dyke - Yes sorry my fault, I did misread the post as I thought PB was saying that Cheryl Cole wasn't fit, perhaps I should pay a visit to Specsavers!

BigBadWolfie - Alan Sefton is the beleaguered Kentish Town Under 18's Coach who is constantly frustrated by the situation with the pitch at the Copthall Stadium, I think his understandig was that Arsenal would be working hand in hand with the Club at youth level and there would be some give and take but he has had to be chief cook and bottle washer and wipe the players noses and backsides for them. Tommy Cooper on the other hand is nothing to do with the Club, he's the famous late comedian who used to wear a silly Moroccan hat called a Fes.

I'm surprised nobody has commented on Caroline's usual masterpiece this week, she is so switched on about the game at grass roots level and this for me summed it up perfectly. Take Histon's recent victory over Leeds for example who just a few years ago were in a Champions League Semi Final whereas Histon were playing park football, it's Roy of the Rovers stuff!

Why 2008 will prove memorable for all the right/wrong reasons.

There are some big issues in the world of Non League Football at the moment; unpaid players wages, not enough people through the gate, taxes, floodlights, respect.

On the surface the game we all love would seem to be in its most precarious position but after a year like 2008, in truth it

Here we go folks, Caroline's first article of 2009, enjoy:

952 matches called off and 700 games postponed. So, just your average Non League week in January. Chances are if you were off to a lower league football game this week, it would have been called off, yet chances also are unless you were at Histon v Swansea, you won't have heard the referee explain the reasons why.

I got a little over excited this morning whilst taking the train into work. There I was listening to a podcast all about the Premier League, when I distinctly heard the words Chelmsford and City. If I

Yes indeed, I remember a horrendous faux pas a few years back by the Welwyn Garden City Secretary when playing an illegible player in an FA Vase tie and the Club were thrown out of the competition, there are many other examples of poor and incompetent administration. Once again Caroline's article has thrown up an intersting talking point.
