Dartford Moved to Ryman North

Breaking News 9pm: Darts switch to Ryman One North

Monday, 18 June 2007

Sittingbourne secretary Mr John Pitts has just sent a text message to http://www.kentishfootball.co.uk from the Ryman League Annual General Meeting, stating that Dartford have switched to Division One North.

Surrey side Molesey were expected to switch from Ryman League Division One South to North, but it will be the Darts that make the switch instead.

The move will surely make Tony Burman’s side favourites to land the title, as they will not be playing any Kent derbies next season.

Have you been there yet Paula? I have seen the pics and the grond looks impressive. Its actually a new ground WITH some character, and its a GREEN stadium as in enviormentaly friendly.

Do you think they will be faves to win the league?

Their away support hasn't been great, home is huge. Worth the trip to thier lovely stadium smile Keep an eye on thier signings. They've just collared O'Brian from Angels. They already have some good players like Jay May and Brendan Cass who like to bang them in. They R1S was tough last season and is again this. It seems to be considered the R1N is an 'easier' division.

blues06 as long as Edgware finnish 5th I will be happy, as 2nd -5th qualify for the playoffs!

Realisticly, I would settle for a mid table finnish, but I dont see any reason why we should be worried about playing at this higher level.

I happen to agree that the sides to beat will prob be the ones you mention, maybe with one or two additons.

wader, i went to watch sudbury at home to ware last season and they spanked ware 5-0, this should of led to a party atmosphere and smiley faces...wrong! I have never seen such a sad bunch of fans in all my life, giving the ref and linesmen constant grief, moaning at their own players and to top it off, booing their own manager for making subs they didnt agree with, rather then cheering him for gaining a great 5-0 victory!

Must be something in the water up there!

Bluey, you want to be there for a draw on a wet winters night. I really thought some of them were going to commit suicide! Any tackle on one of their players on the pitch is met with howls of red card claims and the ref/linos of being cheats as well as parentless. This goes on for the full 90 minutes. Really quite tedious. Of course their player could break someones leg and they would deem that quite fair and above board. I really do hope I never have to go there again. Moaning bastards.

I think that Potters Bar's trip to AFC Sudbury was probably my least enjoyable away trip of the season. Even the local radio bloke at the back of the stand (who must have been in his 60's) was acting like a yobbo.

RobbieO - only ever been to Oxhey for a reserve game. It was okay that night but not the most inspiring of venues. I'm told that if you can't get a space in the car park there, you're better off not driving at all!

Incase anyone is interested there is some banter on the 'unofficial' Dartford Forum covering various topics including a thread on Canvey Island:
