If I may make a small suggestion, could you tone the red background down a little. As a regular viewer of Arsenal.com, I notice that they use a darker red for their backgrounds.

I do like the layout with lots of news and info quickly accessible.

Agreed, the red hurts my eyes, just needs a little toning down. Otherwise it's a great lay out, easy to read
