Interesting to see our Chairmans statement about EFC.

1.Why wasn't the uniting of the two clubs,or at least opening talks about the prospect, one of the options available to vote on?Or was their a show of hands last night?

For all we know,Mr Millington may be going against the wishes of the majority of ETFC members by entering into talk about a 'united' Enfield.I for one, favour his statment, but that is not the point.Or will a refurendum only be sort of the fans, once (and IF) talks reach a late stage. At bit like the vote about option 3.

Bloody hell - i agree again ls !! Whilst being against the uniting the teams the matter should only be progressed after a vote by the fans of both clubs. If the vote is for then so be it and if it is against then again so be it....

In a truly democratic society, there should be a proposal offered up by the board to those members of the society who are allowed to vote to progress the matter, either way.

If the members indicate that they do not want to 'get together' with EFC(or whatever they are now called), then the board would save themselves time and effort in trying to move forward on something which the members don't want.

Or alternatively. If the Town fans do want to unite.A vote would give the Chairman a solid mandate from which to work from, when entering into discussions.

Anyway. There would be no 'united' Enfield football club, unless BOTH sets of fans VOTED in favour. The question is rather, when will a vote take place? Before any proposed discussion takes place between the two clubs,or only after discussions have taken place between the respective boards?

A vote now, before talks, would probably end in a narrow NO vote.If a vote took place later, after both boards have agreed between themselves a principal for a merger. The vote would probably end in YES vote.

EFC is not a supporter's owned club. The supporters had no say in the sale of Southbury Road.

The supporters voted once before to form ETFC just consider the mess if the supporters of EFC voted to join ETFC but members of the board decided to ignore the vote and keep EFC. It has happened before.

Or the supporters don't want to join yet the board do!
