Just read this on the another web site - " Enfield have folded and will reform at a lower level. They will be replaced in IL1N by Ilford."

 

There is another related message on the same thread which says that Ilford may not want to go back up (yes, I know that technically they have not gone down yet), which in turn could possibly give Flackwell Heath a reprieve.

 

Indications are that Enfield FC (to avoid confusion, this is the real Enfield, the team who played at Ware last season), may want to drop into the ESL.

 

On the same web site there is a message that Braintree Wanderers have applied to join the ECL (as opposed to the ESL). (Braintree Wanderers will, if elected, ground share at Braintree).

On the basis that its a new club, following the liquidation of Enfield Football Club (having traded under License from its Liquidator for a number of seasons), I'm not sure what remains 'real' about it.

Only, I think, in relation to a rather spurious argument about ownership of history. But that's gone now, consigned to fond memories; its no more the 2007 EFC's than anybody else's.

Its all about the future now.
