Kentish Town Win Top Award

Recommended Posts

Rhodes' matchday programme, of Hello Magazine proportions won the Division One "Best Programme" award for 2006-7 at today's AGM, beating off stiff competition from Hoddesdon Town, who didn't even get a mention. The award was collected by the new club secretary as Rhodes was at home looking after his kids.

Well done Rhodes - some recognition for your hard work!

Horace - Thanks for letting me know the news so promptly and I'm lost for words, naturally I'm over the moon and quite surprised as I didn't even know there was going to be a programme award. How did the Lowfield contingent take the news, any slit wrists or jumpers from the roof of Caddington's stand.

Didn't see Jane there, and Roger was also unable to make it. The club representatives who were present took the news stoically.

Ken and Paul had so many trophies to carry, I thought they were going to drop some of them. One was a bizarre gold Molten football on a wooden tree branch base - not sure what that was. You also got a big trophy for being the club that went farthest in an FA comp (the Vase).

Oh ok, I only found out about this through the SSML site, and then realised it was TODAY!

So what trophies did they collect? I mean they did not hand out the league/and the two cups again did they?

The trophy you mention is the team of the month award, didnt you win one of them last season? I thought you did, seriously, so we get a trophy for the vase run to the 4th round?

GREAT smile
