I Would hope they would stay but the attraction of a good pitch is hard to fight against. That is why a good team spirit is key as then it makes it hard to leave your mates. Koo and Coops will struggle for a good team spirit. I wonder if Koo will play himself STILL. I wonder how long Coops will stay. 33 clubs and counting.

Quite a bit of dough down at Cove then this season......

John Hamsher has become the second player to sign for new management team at Combined Counties League club Cove.

Hamsher, 29, who suffered a third broken leg in January 2004, has been added to a squad that now includes Lee Passmore, signed from Ashford Town (Middx), and new player/assistant-manager Kevin Cooper.

Hamsher started his career as a trainee at Fulham. He then had a highly-successful spell with Rushden & Diamonds, winning a number of honours, before switching to Stevenage Borough in January 2001.

He then joined Carshalton Athletic in June 2002 but three broken legs blighted his spell at Colston Avenue before he eventually moved to Metropolitan Police in May 2005.

Kevin Cooper said: “I played with John at Met Police and he is a great player as well as someone who is great in the dressing room which is what we want at Cove.

“It will be a dressing room with a great atmosphere.”
