Tom why do you call me an ASS (Your making yourself look like an ass Anon) thats not the behaviour of a moderator!

 

Also you stop the freedom of people to comment about issues that have been raised publicly in the local press - this is an independant forum and not the offical site of the club.

 

All this "Big Brother" we know best behaviour is starting to alienate people from the club. It is starting to become a club where you are either in the gang and told the "secrets" or just one of the plebs who should just hand over there money, keep quiet and do as they are told.

 

Now is the time when the club needs all the freinds it can get but is doing a good job of pi$$ing people off (Windsor).

I closed that thread in order for both clubs views to be seen before people spread information which maybe wrong and seen in the eyes of some people as gospel. Its the right thing to do until all the facts are in the open, at which point the thread will re-open. I'm sure the other moderators on this forum will agree with me, if not they have the power to open it themselves.

 

Talking of "secrets", why are you being so secretive? Register to the forum and your arguments may have more validity.

Are you now going to lock the "Angry Windsor" thread as the disscussion is now happening there instead of the original thread - even one of those in the discussion is a moderator and one is a Trust Board member, so it looks like they want to have a discussion - the control of freedom of speach was the start of things in the late 1930's in Germany.

Sorry Anonymous but comments like yours over the past few days are one of the main reasons why a number of people want this site as registered users only.

 

The moderators on here do a great job in monitoring the offensive and sensitive posts and do what they feel is right in their best interests. If this is a real problem for you, there are many alternatives as to where to setup your own forum and post your grievances.

 

The thread to which you refer has a question posted which has been answered and is in little relation to the now locked thread which is being addressed by STFC early next week when they release an official statement regarding the matter.

I can't see Gary being a mod as a problem. Judging on the last week or so the communications coming out of the club have improved ten fold and long may that continue. If at any point Gary feels there is a conflict of interest then maybe he should stand down, but for now there isn't. Of course if I start seeing lots of controversial threads being shunted over to the graveyard I might change my mind, but I doubt that would happen

True, but then Gary has been standing up to Roy about the forum for years and I don't see his stance changing much, even if he is now on the management committee
