STFC Official Site Update

Really positive news - at the moment I feel there is a sense of optimism around the club. I think we will all ultimately benefit from this change and whilst Windsor have been decent hosts I found it fairly soul destroying watching games at the Slag. SYCOB has much more of a football ground feel to it and I'm looking forward to playing there. Roll on the first games of the season.

Good luck in your new ground. Without wanting to sound bitter the grass isn't always greener on the otherside...

Yes their pitch might have some but it was a real mess by the time we played them!!! Car parking was an issue too for just us windsor fans too.

I'm going to miss messages been written around the ground for me though

More positive news. Holloway Park is a decent ground--went there a couple of times last year when Stag Meadow wasn't playable, and the pitch stood up well to the weather.

Parking may be an issue as they usually use a field for overflow parking, and that may be an issue in wet weather, but I'm sure something will be sorted.

As for public transport, I'm willing to give anyone a lift back to Slough after evening matches (and Saturdays for that matter. If a few others can do the same, there won't be a problem.

Note for Woody...One game postponed on the beaconsfield match last season..sounds it stood up pretty well...One thing we are not going to get into a slagging contest...We had 4 season at Windsor and we were treated very well..and that all has to be said ..Peter Simpson is quality that Windsor should ensure he is looked after...and not taken for granted....

Thank you Windsor ..Friends and Staff

The only game postponed last season was nothing to do with the pitch. The side which were sharing there last season could not raise a side, so the game was postponed.

It is sad to be leaving people like Alan and Sally from the bar behind, and I'm sure Peter is also disappointed, but for the time being, this move is best for the club and I am sure Windsor will understand that.

Note For gary House, I understand the disabled toliet is available too ... and with everything on one level should not be a problem for your Mum..
