I'm confused. People like Littlejohn say we should go to war to liberate the Iraqi people who are being unfairly treated by Saddam Hussein. However when an Iraqi recently came to Britain and applied for Asylum, he was told he was ineligible because he had applied a few hours outside the deadline. He was then forced to sleep rough and it was partly because of the this that the judges made the ruling. So why, if we are going to war to help these people, do we then refuse to help them when they arrive here?

Interested to see that they include Heysel on that site and although with one breath say Liverpool fans cannot be condoned for their behaviour with another they try and justify it with stories of provocation, bad policing etc etc.

 

Fact - Liverpool fans rioted and 39 Italians were killed (I'm with the Everton fans - JF39)

Yes, under some provocation but Liverpool fans attacked Juve fans - it was unlucky maybe that on that occasion people died as it could have happened any time (including the previous year when, yes Liverpool fans did suffer at the hands of Roma) but it happened and to try and find excuses is lame. Liverpool has developed a fairly nasty reputation in Europe, worse than most. JF39

 

Liverpool, probably by virtue of their European success, were involved in a number of unsavory incidents and unfortunately they get linked with Hillsborough.
