Are you clueless with knapsack

pabird

Recommended Posts

Just arrived into work having been battered by the countless morons who are unable to make their way in minus a bulging knapsack that would create union problems in the royal marines

The health and safety executive insist on "manual handling" training for people who work with awkward loads but we allow these untrained uncoordinated pratts to assault the general public day in day out

WHAT IS IT THEY CARRY DAY IN DAY OUT

Their 1970s record collection?

Their antique tank tops?

If they carry that amount of work home then they are not good enough at the job

Sorry folks but had to get it off my chest these pond life richard dials are just too sad

the knap or rucksack should always be carried over both shoulders, this substantially reduces its 'commuter profile' leaving more room for other people .. this is deemed unfashionable and such sacks are normally carried over one shoulder .. this leads to sack slippage and a constant re hoisting of said sack back onto the shoulder.. it is also very bad for your back as the 'user' has to keep the (in most cases) right shoulder elevated to stop slippage.

im in a fairly intolerant mood myself today due to missing my benfleet station morning cup of tea

Wearing a heavy backpack over one shoulder as most do can lead to many physical problems.

These include:

A reduction in cartillage in the shoulder it hangs over.

A weaker collar bone

A major neck strain while you're trying to keep upright.

Reduced rib space so you can't breath properly on one side.

Lower back strain resulting in a significant hunch as you try to keep balance.

Damage to the knees, ankles and toes while you try to keep balance.

If the neck strain becomes too serious or the collar bone moves out of place it can damage the nerves coming off the C4, C5 & C6 vertebrae that control your breathing - anyone see that programme with Christopher Reeve? You'll know what I mean!!

See, I do listen to my Human Biology lecturers!!!

Now tell me where, anywhere, on the whole world-wide football forum database, will you find such erudite and intellectual contributions such as these. We are not talking about the moronic, illegible and badly spelt ramblings of the football proletariat, we are talking gems of human physiology here.

Quality stuff? Or quality stuff?

Now, what about Saturday. Anybody want to predict a score?

Oh tricky, Braintree are on form at the minute, but I reckon we can definately get at least 4 again. Hopefully Cowan will not have a weak spot for Braintree and not let anyone pass him. Plus Doofy ought to be up for this one after being sent off last year!!

Oh and pabird, my lessons are going to get a lot more fun - just found out the other day we have a disection coming up soon!! Heart and Lungs I believe, (pig or sheep can't remember).

Hmm very tricky game, I think 3-0 to Canvey.

Will be interesting to see if Greggors keeps his place on Saturday. I thought he was excellent on Tuesday. His ability and timing in winning headers was superb. That knock down for Rudi for the first goal was brilliant. Ollie B has been excellent but Braintree are a big side and Greggors heading ability could prove to be invaluable.

Apparently Ollie wasn't doing 'it' for Braintree when he played for them, so no doubt he will participate in Saturday's campaign just to prove a point! As Cobby will with us and he'll probably play a blinder, (bad pun!)

Dear Matt it would be unfair (and probably edited out) to decribe on this forum how exactly war babies learned biology in redundant air raid shelters (when in early teens)

Suffice it to say that we only desired to make the heart lung machines we laid next to fully motivated to maximum but short term delivery

Result on Saturday depends on the Canvey team and their desire to impose higher skill levels across all eleven (15?)

Braintree will be up for the battle and will know of certain weaknesses they may be able to exploit

Canvey firing on all guns win 3-1

Canvey foot off pedal a draw with Braintree gaining a penalty

I think this could be our toughest game for a while. I can't see any other result than a Canvey win as we should be able to dominate the midfield given the form of Minton, Dobbo, etc.. Cobby will be up for it but I didn't see enough in him whilst at Canvey to worry any of our defenders, I think they'll be more concerned with Cowan come set piece time.

I'll take a 2-1 win now.

I won't be at the game either, am in Bedfordshire overnight.

Look forward to reading your report Merv.

I agree it will be a hard game at Braintree, they will load out their defence and pump the balls on a break system, I don't think Cobby will start but may come on in the later stages. Undecided about the score but would tend to agree with pabird.

Well that was one of my better predictions!!! I'm sure I had written 4-2 down somewhere.

I nearly laughed when JK hit the post though - I should've put money on that game. I would've got the result right if not the scorers!!

I reckon their first choice keeper must have been suspended, with the way this one played, we should've credited him with two own goals just for a laugh!!

Yes - one old Braintree boy standing behind me took the pee out of their keeper for most of the match.

He assured anyone who would listen that they had just found him in the street outside, and simply realised that the kit would fit him.

The highlight of the whole game for me was when the keeper made a clean catch with two hands late in the second half, and the old boy shouted "That's right son, now you've got the hang of it!"

Made me spill my Bovril - unfortunate as I had finished it about 30 minutes earlier!
