Pre-season Friendly

Recommended Posts

You must have a short memory, clip Rods. Have you forgotten the discussion a while ago when I said that I never expected to win a Secretary of the Year award because, in order to run a football club properly, you have to occasionally upset the apple cart and put a few noses out of joint which doesn't then endear you to the committees of whichever Leagues your Club's teams compete in?

Now you are trying to make out that I want to be everyone's best friend. If you want to make statements about people's character, perhaps you should do a bit more research to ensure that it doesn't fly in the face of what you've already been told?

Anyway, speaking of wanting to be the "main man", any news on your application to become moderator of this forum yet? No, didn't think so.

Football Man - I don't necessarily agree that to be a Secretary and to run a football club properly you occasionally have to put a few noses out of joint, John Bacon seems to manage just fine.

I'm sure Football Man will delight in being the first to tell us all when it is drawn.

Bitch - I see from today's Non League paper that you have arranged a pre-season tour to the North East with games at Blyth Spartans on Friday 30 July and North Shields on Saturday 31 July, what's the idea behind that.

The legendary Malcolm McDonald use to be an Angel. He's the president of North Shields FC smile

P.S What page number is it on? I've not read it yet. Just looked at the pictures smile

It was on page 30. On Saturday 28 July it has you down as playing two games, away at Sevenoaks and at home to Sutton United, is one of them your Reserve team.

Football Man - Were you feeling okay this morning as you were two minutes early coming on and as a result my watch has been two minutes fast all day. As we are the away Club in our two pre-season friendlies arranged thus far it is therefore not for us to contact the Non League paper in order to get them to add those game to the list.

Football man how are you, how are you enjoying your life away from potters bar, we should maybe meet and have a chat, and then you can buy me a drink, old mate. You had quite a few free rolls and sarnies at potters bar, so at least you owe me one pint. Catch you soon.

Life away from Potters Bar is great. The mobile doesn't ring every five minutes anymore and there are far less e-mails to have to deal with. Luxury!

Don't remember free rolls and sarnies but I'll admit to a couple of free cheeseburgers! More than happy to sort out a pint next time I get to a Kentish Town game.

Football Man - Firstly do you know who Tiger007 is. Secondly who are you trying to kid with your post, being a football administrator/secretary is in your blood so why deny that you miss those constant phone calls and e-mails, I bet you don't know what to do with yourself. As for the next time you get to a Kentish Town game I guarantee that you will go out of your way not to watch us next season and there will always be a lame excuse such as Chelsea v Valencia or washing your hair.

I can take or leave Kentish Town games, in the same manner that I can take or leave any other club's fixtures. That's the beauty of not being associated to any particular club. If a Kentish Town game looks the most interesting on any given day, then I shall go and watch it. Obviously, if they get rid of the dickhead currently masquerading as their PR person, then a visit to a Kentish Town game will instantly become a much more attractive proposition. Did you say that Jeff Barnes was with the club now? He's got experience of the PR side of things so maybe the club are just waiting for the right moment to make the change?
