I see according to Confguide, the deal is that every side will get at least 2 home games, at £20K per game.

 

The downside, of course, is that games will be played on Thursday and Friday nights.

 

In addition, Setanta are apparently mad enough to show 9 games from the Setanta Shield - the new Conference Cup competition, which we enter at Round 4.

 

Are there many people planning to get Setanta Sports now that the Conference games are being shown? £10 per month on the Freeview Platform, on a Stand Alone basis seems good to me given that it also includes Premiership & Scottish games.

Setanta are meant to be in negotitions with Virgin Media about a new sports news channel,so you could get more coverage in the future.

I actually get Setanta for free on Sky . A couple of years back , I was in Canada and went for lunch where girlfriends son worked. The place was frequented by businessman and he introduced me to some CBS/NBC sports bod. We talked "Soccer" and I told him I watch Ice Hockey when I can and like baseball.

 

He asked who was the carrier in UK which at the time was NASN. He spoke to people and got me switched on.

 

When they merged Setanta with NASN , I got all the new channels including Rangers and Celtic TV.

 

SO at the moment , I dont pay. If they suddenly charged , then I would probably keep with it , as they show a lot of soccer from around the globe and I dont mind watching the odd game of Silly Boys Rounders in the evening whilst doing paperwork.
