Away form

Absolutely right Hornchurch have 27 point from 15 away games, we have 19. Their away form is the main reason they are second, as their home record is inferior to the other three in the top four, and the same as Hemmel's. Wealdstone have 15 from 12 away games. That backlog might count against them in the long run.

Despite Wealdstones large number of games in hand if you calculate number of games left and multiply by average points earnt to date at the end of season we get

Northwood 98

Wealdstone 85

Hornchurch 84

Hemel 82

Slough 81

Thats taking form for the whole season to date into account. A purple patch for any of the top teams could make a huge difference

As I have said before we need to turn our away form round, and get three or four wins on the bounce. There is still a long way to go

We also have suspect away form, but have a lot of the lower sides away so it could be interesting.

This having loads of games in hand is not a major problem Northwood have points in the bag and it is down to them to lose it, unfortunately their hard fixtures are right at the end of the season when they may only need a few points, other than home to the urchins which i would prefer woods to win as going up is vital the title secondary.

We have 3 games on the urchins and are only 1 win behind them, and we are ahead of Hemel and your boys with games in hand. Other than Northwoods, whose position would you rather be in.

85 points for second place means we need ten wins and 1 draw from 18 games, i think we could achieve that but feel 90 may be nearer the required figure, goal difference will be vital its worth a point in this tight situation.

Its going to be an interesting finish to the season thats for sure,i think hemel wont do it for the simple fact they have to play all the top teams,i think urchins have bottled it and im hopefull the stones will slip up as well,if all those things happen i wouldn't be surprised if wenip into second, another intresting thing is that northwood, urchins, rebels and the stones are all away on the last day of the season!

nice bit of self delusion there boys and you've used the statistics to convince yourseves that all will be well....my view...its to early to call...but over 90 points will be needed ......there will be a few more ups and downs for all of us including the leaders before March is out and then...and only then.... will you be able to take an objective view..as for my opinion on who goes up....at this stage only the current top six plus a possible late runner will I put the good name of the ol' uncle to...in any event....it will be good fun and may the best two teams go up....as for the rest...no harm done doing battle in div 1 next year....(after the inevitable barrage of abuse on the forums from the successful two).... its been exciting so far and our long term aims are more important than the short term clammer for the premiership...mind you....have to say that it would be the icing on the cake for little ol' 'ornchurch....two in a row.....

we'll see....good luck....good referees and good burgers.... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
