Steve Pitt has left his managers job at Wivenhoe to become Director Of Football at Heybridge.I wonder if Neil Gregory will put his name forward for the managers job?

 

It is with sincere regret that I have tonight resigned as manager of Wivenhoe Town F.C. to take up the role of Director of Football at Heybridge Swifts F.C., alongside the current management team of Brian Statham and Barry Lakin.

 

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking the Clubs supporters for their backing throughout the last three years, which have been thoroughly enjoyable and productive. My only regret being that we just missed out on promotion of two of those three seasons.

 

Even more praise must go to the magnificent committee at the Club of Mike & Julia Boyle, the Boyle girls, Sue Shepherd, Ian Wallace and Bob Hall, all of whose help has been invaluable.

 

Finally I would like to commend the players, Steve Wignall, Malcolm Price and Nick Allston whose efforts, through at time, adversity, have been a lifeline.

 

I wish the Club every success for the future, and feel sure with the current Club infrastructure complete with Colne Academy link, that things will continue to prosper
