I read in the Daily Mail today that there football writer was bemoaning the possible loss of the Conference name as the leagues are going to be called the Blue Square Premier, North and South. Surely the new sponsers want to see their name in lights but always the old conference name could be incorporated too.

Its another salutary lesson in the way in which our board of directors are refusing to waste money. Its no good pumping money into buying expensive players if we cant really afford them like Mr Easterby tried a few years ago.

 

I would much rather see steady progress in a well run club as opposed to one or two seasons of thrills and spills with the inevitable outcome of bankruptcy.

 

I would also take issue with the comment from the Alty Chairman as this isn't about football, its about a rich Sugar Daddy coming a cropper with the fans suffering in the long run.
