godalming town

Recommended Posts

Have i just read this right on anothers website? Godalming Town have moved into the Southern South West league. How is that fair. The got battered last season, finished last yet still stay in the same level football. They should be playing step 5 football but instead are playing step 4. Playing teams like Farnborough, Fleet, Bracknell. Someone explain the thinking behind that!!!

It seems to me it doesnt matter if you finish top or bottom these days. Pointless doing a league. May aswell just do cup competitions.

How did you know we were going to call it that, I bet Mr Collins has brought that name as well.

Guess we will have to call it AFC Dorking Colts Town Wanderers Albion United Football Club.

I believe Dorking will be getting a certain section notice in the post next week, Mr Collins will finally have to make up his mind if he fights it or not, will be interesting to see what the league think it about it.

It seems to be always the decision to reprieve a relegated club rather than promote another club. Guess no-one knows whether Godalming will do better than whoever may have been promoted instead.

Anyway, good luck to Godalming, nice club. Derbies (well sort of) with Farnborough and Fleet to look forward to. I'll try and get down to a game next season.

Thank New Milton for volunteering to drop to level 5 for Godalmings reprieve. Looks like no relegation from the CoCo Premier Division now.
