The irons? win, lose or draw

Braintree is never an easy game and Cobby will certainly be wanting to prove a point. With Shots not playing on Saturday it's a good chance to close the gap. Braintree beat Shots earlier in the season and also won away against St Albans, so their record against the top teams is very impressive.

If we keep playing the way we've been doing recently (especially in the last two fixtures), Braintree will have to play very well to get anything out of the game.

Yep we reserve our best for the top clubs, It was 0nly last month we beat shots then were leading at Purfleeet for 95 minutes (work that one out) before they scrambled an equaliser on the final whistle which may have been later if the goal hadn't arrived (sarcasm now).

Canvey are a great side in terrific form, bystanders would have to go for the BBC Essex blue-eyed boys but i'll stick my neck out and say a draw is likely. Basingstoke are the best team i've seen at Cressing Road this season so far, but then we were so poor (Emburey at the helm) at the time, even Witham would have given us a hiding and they did.

He was wacking them in for Heybridge while he was there on loan, so no doubt he's doing the same for Braintree. Although he's a nice bloke he wasn't doing the job for us this season and I think swapping him for Berquez has worked out well!!

It's always sad to see a side in such finanacial difficulty, but if all they're interested in off the pitch is the money to keep the club running, then it's always worth poaching their best players for a few grand ie Cowan!!
