K's 0-2 City

Well what can I say - bloody good result - Kingstonian hadn't lost in the league for 2 and a half months!

Scorers - Moran and Young

Once again the performance wasn't great but once we went 2-0 up we played quite well, maybe it is just a confidence thing!

We were 4-4-2 again and although the team line up was questionable, they did OK - I must admit I do wonder why a player like Stannard was brought in just to warm the bench after a avergae debut and Lodge was also relegated to the bench, I'm presuming Martin is still not 100% because Slinn once again looked out of sorts. However the team did finally have some balance.

Team was: Wilmot in goal, full backs - Evans and Naylor, Centre backs - Moran and Brown, Left wing - Oakes, right wing - CZ, sorry Young, Centre mid - Challinor and Hyatt, Up front - Crawshaw and Slinn. Martin and Kean came on, Challinor went off injured!

Now I don't want to harp on about winning the league because our current form is still dodgy but with the return of Gledhill, Campbell, De Souza, Martin and the likes of Stannard and Lodge starting to gel in, maybe just maybe we can put a bit of a run together and still have a say. With us still to play Canvey and Aldershot and them having to play each other as well we're still in there, lets see after Saturday and next Tuesday!

We can still win this league, my gut feeling however is that we won't, but lets not forget that this was a bloody good and hopefully season changing result tonight.

Don't know about you, but I think we have the easier run-in of all the teams! All our home games are winnable while apart from the first 4 away games the rest should be 3 points. Look at Aldershots away games, bloody hell!. As for Canvey I wouldn't like to be playing my big local rivals (Billericay) home and away still

plenty of twists n turns to come yet.. but it all hinghes on aldershot slipping up.. the trouble with this season is a few lower and mid table teams can sometimes seem to jack in it when they are safe and there is nothing to play for ..this can play into the shots hands...

although to be fair to the shots they do normally have to put up with teams 'raising their game' to play the 'big club'
