Decision on Dorking FC

Big JR you seemed to avoid my question earlier about the Dorking Girls. How well have they been doing? What league are they in? How will your club run on Girls football?

It's quite an interesting read.

 

The Girls ?

 

They play in the Surrey County Girls League.

 

The Under 16's didn't have a particularly good season owing to losing some star players because of age.

 

The Under 13's did well, considering their promotion from the previous season, finishing mid-way up the table.

 

Incidently, they also played a Charity game against Guildford Saints at DFC's ground, Meadowbank in aid of the Stewart Vaughan fund, raising a substantial amount of money. Another reason why I get annoyed when people knock ALL youngsters as Chav's and Wasters !

Krooner its not there yet I think the ad release the web version a bit later in the day

 

It confirms the news at the start of this thread and DFC say there is a big sponsor round the corner, a manager coming soon,

etc.

 

They acknowledge the threat of eviction is still there and time frame runs from shortly to 18 months depending on who you believe

It looks like Mr Collins will be running 2 sides this season as I have just tried to register the name Dorking Town Football Club with the FA and they have said Mr Collins has just registered this name.

It did make me smile also.

We wanted to get a place in a league before we affiliated and now that has been done it was time ( did not want to waste money ).

 

I have thought of a few names already maybe you could help?

 

Maybe we can pick the name up next year if they are not playing at Meadowbank for the season 2008/2009
