URGENT NEWS-MORE CHANGES AT FORWARD LOOKING BARKING FC

Barking FC has acted quickly to appoint a new manager to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of Jay Devereux.

Well known Essex football man Rod Stringer ,former manager of Barkingside and assistant manager of Sawbridgeworth Town , will be putting his considerable experience to good use as he seeks to improve on our 6th place finish in our initial Essex Senior League season. There will be additional valuable managerial experience available to the Blues as Rod’s assistant manager is former Concord Rangers manager Eddie Crace. The managerial team will be further strengthened by the news that current reserve team manager Dave Ross will continue to lead the reserve side in the Essex, Herts and Bordering Counties League. Before managing the reserves Dave had an exceptionally successful career as youth team manager and many of his discoveries have graduated to senior football.Last season his reserve side won the Fred Budden Trophy .

The club is already building for the new season and training will commence on 3rd July.

Chairman and former manager Dennis Elliott has left the club and we would like to thank him for helping to ensure the club’s survival during the difficult period following the tragic death of former chairman Peter Webster.Dennis took us to the Southern League Division 1 play offs in successive seasons before we were forced by circumstances to join the Essex Senior League..
